Regina King’s son Ian tragically passed away in 2022. He allegedly died by suicide. Months after his demise, the Oscar-winning actress, in a candid interview spoke about the enduring guilt and pain she felt over her son’s decision to end his life. “When a parent loses a child, you still wonder, ‘What could I have done so that wouldn’t have happened?'” she said. While coming to terms with his loss, she said, “I respect and understand that he didn’t want to be here anymore.”
