The 81st Venice International Film Festival has delivered a number of surprises throughout its slate of scheduled films and TV series, from fashion spectacles to massive engagement ring reveals. Now, the festival is garnering even more headlines as Brad Pitt and partner Ines de Ramon make their biggest entrance as a couple to date.
At the premiere of Pitt’s new Apple TV+ original film Wolfs—in which he stars and acted as producer—the two walked the red carpet together for the first time. They were also spotted on a double date with Pitt’s costar George Clooney, and Clooney’s wife, Amal.
Since being linked in late 2022, Pitt, 60, and de Ramon, 31, have kept their relationship under wraps … that is, until now. So, who is Ines de Ramon? Read ahead for everything we know about the fine-jewelry exec and businesswoman.
She is the vice president of a luxury jewelry company.
If there’s one thing de Ramon knows, it’s jewelry. She serves as the vice president of Los Angeles–based fine jewelry brand Anita Ko, a role she has held since January 2020.
According to her LinkedIn account, de Ramon has a history in the field. Prior to joining the Anita Ko team, she worked in the jewelry department at the Christie’s salesroom in Switzerland, and she also worked retail at Swiss luxury jewelry company De Grisogono.
Before that, de Ramon was in hospitality, doing client services for Kempinski Hotels, another luxury brand.
She was previously married to Paul Wesley.
Before meeting Pitt, de Ramon already knew what it was like to date a famous Hollywood actor, as she was previously in a relationship with Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley.
The pair tied the knot sometime around early 2019, when they were spotted out and about with wedding bands on their fingers. Later that year, they made their love red-carpet official when they attended the Mercy for Animals 20th Anniversary Gala in L.A. But they separated in 2022, and in 2023, Wesley filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” per People.
She can speak five different languages.
Polyglot doesn’t even begin to describe de Ramon. According to her LinkedIn page, she is proficient in five different languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian (with the first three being listed as “native or bilingual proficiency”).
This makes sense, given that de Ramon was born in New Jersey, but raised in Cologny, Switzerland, where the four national languages are German, French, Italian, and Romansh. As for the Spanish, de Ramon’s parents hail from Spain. Talk about a good person to have around when traveling.
She studied business in college.
On her journey to becoming a fine jewelry executive, de Ramon had her sights set on the business world, and pursued a business administration degree when she was an undergraduate.
She attended the University of Geneva in Switzerland, where she received a BBA from the Haute École de Commerce.
In addition, de Ramon has earned two certificates from the Gemological Institute of America, in diamond essentials and colored stones essentials—both of which she collected a few years after graduating from Geneva.
Ib 2019, she was als licensed as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
She has been linked to Pitt since late 2022.
Although they’re only now bringing their romance to the forefront, Pitt and de Ramon have been linked since late 2022, not long after de Ramon and Wesley separated.
In November 2022, the pair were spotted at a show by U2 frontman Bono, which led to speculation about a relationship. Then, photos captured by Page Six saw the couple spending New Year’s Eve in Mexico.
Following these spottings, the two kept a relatively low profile, until they made a joint appearance at the F1 Grand Prix of Great Britain this past July, as part of the promotion for Pitt’s new film F1.
A few months prior, exclusive sources had reported to People that de Ramon had moved in with Pitt in February. “It’s pretty recent,” the insider told the outlet at the time. “They are going very strong and she is happier than ever.”
In August 2024, the couple made their relationship red-carpet official at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, where they walked arm in arm in elegant black-tie dress. De Ramon wore an asymmetrical white gown with ruching along the bodice, while Pitt opted for an all-black suit. That same weekend, the pair were spotted on a double date with George and Amal Clooney.
